Stump Print Making Workshop

Join our good friend and Arborist  Matt Entwistle from Timber Garden ME and create your own stump prints during this special 2-hour workshop experience. This class will take place on Saturday December 7th at our shop in York. 

The stump prints you will make comes to you as a by-product of Matts arborist work, producing a second look at the age, shape and species of the tree. The prints bring to life the innate art found in nature through a special process which helps to better define the tree's natural fingerprint and reveal its bold life story on paper.

Students will be able to select the stump they're going to print from local species. The first half of this workshop will be held outside, as students will learn the intricacies of grinding, flattening, burning and inking a surface. The second half will be indoors pressing paper to wood to create your unique prints. Each student will have the opportunity to make several prints and all prints are yours to keep. Makes a great holiday gift!
