We want you on a wooden surfboard, but more importantly we want you to be part of the creative process of building your board. So we offer lots of ways to dip your toes. Whether you choose to share your vision and let us create it for you, or you want to be a part of every step, we've got plenty of ways to get you involved.

CedarRail Construction

The very core of our offerings, our original construction is our most beloved process. A full hollow cedar surfboard with hollow rails built using a combination of bead & cove and other precision milled strips. This is our time-honored process built with all Maine Grown Northern White cedar and encompassing the use of many traditional hand tools. It’s a process that's offered as a custom boards and in our private workshops.

CorkRail & GreenRail Constructions

We’ve engineered our GreenRail method to marry the best of our wood board construction with the benefit of a solid, hand shaped GreenRail made entirely from recycled plastic bottles. Not only that, but almost all the waste produced from these rails is recycled to complete the circle. GreenRail boards are priced more competitively than our Original Construction, giving you a beautiful custom board option at a price that’s on par with many other US shapers. New for 2024, taking all the benefits of the GreenRail construction but replacing RPET with cork, we’ve created a new 3-day workshop experience built around a more simplified process and shorter schedule. Still a board you’ve built with your own two hands with our guidance, just with more time to play in the water.

PlyBeam

We spent years developing our Ply-Beam Surfboard Kits and designing in as many features as possible to make the home building experience more streamline and reduce the headscratching and fine woodworking that goes with our other kits. Ply-Beam Technology allows for less set up time, fewer tools and materials and completely eliminates the need for a complicated shop setup like a rocker table and bar clamps. These surfboard kits are fully CNC-machined from Lloyds Certified, FSC Certified marine plywood and use very little cedar. Note: With the launch of our new CorkRail Kits, we have put PlyBeam kits on hold. Reach out with questions.
