Christian Beamish is a surfer, shaper and writer living in Ventura, California. Inspired by the high performance and big wave surfing of the late 1970s/early 80s in Australia and Hawai’i, Beamish shapes boards for “power-flow” surfing: that is, wave riding based on positioning and going with the wave, not against it. Beamish is known for channel bottom designs in single, twin, and “two-plus-one” fin configurations.
A key difference between the channel bottom and the non-channel (besides the obvious one) is the fin setup. This non-channel version can have either a single or two-plus-one fin setup whereas the channeled MLBB can only be set up as a single.
