The Spray

We feel privileged to have had some generous help from the legendary Campbell brothers (original designers of the Bonzer) in developing The Spray.  Bending wood to the super-deep double concaves that run between fins canted at almost twenty degrees, we managed a version of perhaps the most radical bottom ever put under a surfboard. Operating on principles literally extracted from aeronautics, boards of this type represent possibly the most extreme design innovation to be applied to surfboards since the fin. We made it long and wide for plenty of glide, but with a pulled in, hard-edged diamond tail for good rotation and release. Seriously, though…aeronautics.
