The Dovekie- A Wegener/Grain Collab Model

This paipo is a collaboration between Jon Wegener and Grain surfboards and is hand-built and shaped in York Maine with a core of 100% recycled plastic bottles, combined with wood stringers. The bottom of the board is made from cedar and/or paulownia planks while the rails and deck is all natural cork from the Cork Oak Tree. These boards are the perfect blend of simplicity, functionality and sustainability and we believe represent one of the most fun ways to get out and enjoy some waves.

With an outline inspired by our Puffin model, the Dovekie handles bigger and steeper surf like a champ. The pulled in nose and smaller outline allow for easy duckdiving and deeper pockets. The balanced tail gives you hold in faster waves and release/pivot points for on the spot turns.
